Final designs are here! (Nessy and Mersy mermaid)
5 months ago – Mon, Jan 12, 2026 at 11:21:58 AM

Ok so I have finished off the remaining pin designs and we are about ready to go!
(the campaign starts on the 22nd of jan!)

firstly we have the Loch Ness monster designs!

The main pin will be 2 inches with a pearl swirl effect on the body to give him a glimmering 'wet' look!

The second is the mini pin, which will be 1.25 inch approx!
Since sometimes Nessy is depicted as a plesiosaurus-like beast, and sometimes a serpentine-like creature, I decided to go with one of each!  thus the mini pin is closer in design to a danger noodle. :)

Secondly, the Mersy mermaid!

Luring saliors into misfortune with her beauty and sound, this two inch pin will have an Antique gold plating, to give this monster girl a more old-worldy feel!

The mini pin to go with her is that of a Purple topshell snail shell!
This is a small but pretty snail that is common in the waters around the UK, preferring rocky, shallow areas, exactly the sort of places there mersy mermaid would reside!

finally here's a quick guide to the order of which pins will be unlocked at what price goals!
The first goal (£1,300) includes unlocking both black shuck pins the 3 freebie pins, the freebie magnet, sticker and the free bookmarks that come with every order!

I think that is it for now! You can get a good look at all the designs again on the launch page if you wish!
Attached is a poll to see what pin sets you are looking forward to most!

Another free pin anouncment (and a happy new year)

We have joined the Lore and Myth banner for this 2026 Pintopia!

Welcome to Lore and Myth- A banner of Pintopia where artists of a similar theme gather together. From folklore, mythology, legends and more, you can find this collection here(https://www.backerkit.com/c/collections/coming_soon?id=lore-myth) running from January 22 – February 12, 2026

Freebie Cross-Collaboration Pins - Back 3 or more Lore and Myth campaigns and get a free exclusive mini pin from each creator!

My free mini pin is going to be this cute Jackalope bunny!

This isn't a UK-themed myth; however, the Jackalope is the bestiary's logo, and I just have a super soft spot for them, so jackalope it is! I also included extra horns along its face to reflect that the main theory behind Jackalopes is that rabbits affected with Shope papilloma virus. I guess a slightly grim but interesting addition to this little magical baby bun!

There's still a little time to vote on the mermaid mini pin! Both shells and the ship's anchor are fairly close!
if we end up with a tie (or close to) I will try to do something that mixes both together!

Hope you have a fantastic new years day!

Edit:
Additionally, there is a preview of the other free pin you will get when backing the cross-colab partner -I previously shown of our Pheoenix, but we can now show you a preview of theirs as well! (a pretty Kelpie pin!)

What should the mini pin for the Mereside mermaid be?!
6 months ago – Wed, Dec 24, 2025 at 08:20:51 AM

Quick poll for over the Christmas period!

What do you want the mini pin to be for the Mereside Mermaid?!

The current ideas are: crab, shell(S),  ship anchor or some sort of fish (will be local to the seas around UK)!
Please vote in the poll on what idea you like or comment if you have any other ideas!

Also I have finished the design of the free sticker you will get for free if you follow the project now and back when it's live!  (it will either be 3 or 4 inches)

It is the crooked spire of Chesterfield! Built in roughly 1362, One story says that the Devil was resting on the spire, his tail wrapped around it for support. The smell of incense from inside the church made him sneeze, and the violence of the sneeze caused the spire to twist. It twists at 45 degrees and leans just over 9ft!
This will also be available as an add-on!

Beast of bodmin designs!
6 months ago – Sun, Dec 14, 2025 at 01:46:05 PM

Hello I wanted to share with you all two new designs based on the 'beast of bodmin', a large black feline reported to prowl the countryside since the 70s!

The main pin:

will be around 2 inches, gold metal with UV screenprint

And the mini pin:

Either will be 1.25-1.5 inches gold metal, with UV screenprint.

Hope you like them! <3
More updates to follow as I finish the remaining designs!
